What is Visual acceptance testing

This type of testing ensures that the site looks at it is meant to and demonstrate that the system under test meets requirements. This phase is unique in all test activities in that its purpose is to demonstrate sufficiency and correctness, not to find problems. Acceptance testing is usually the last test phase before a product is released

Why do Visual acceptance testing

To ensure conformity in style, colour, graphic integration and layout. Especially when viewing the pages in different browsers.

How to test Visual Acceptance

View each page on the site thoroughly and make sure they are all consistent in style, layout, graphic integration and colour.

Look at the site under different browsers, resolutions and viewing environments.

Check that links and graphics are working.

Generally make sure that the “look” of the website is uniform and all working.
